Versus winemaker - Danie van Tonder
After obtaining a Diploma in Agriculture from Elsenburg in 1997 Danie worked in the Constantia area developing his viticulture skills and also his passion for winemaking.
He gained experience internationally working for 18 months in California and for two harvests in the south of France. His experience in South Africa includes harvests at Swartland Winery and Boschendal before he joined our company in 2002.
Danie is based at our Helderberg Cellar and as part of the company of wine peopleTM winemaking team is involved in the making of many different brands in the company's portfolio most notably, Versus.
